TO JUMPSTART YOUR CAR WITH THE EMERGENCY CAR STARTER

1. All lights and accessories MUST be turn off at this time. Turn on the dome light (even if your car battery does not have enough power left to actually make it light).

2. Plug the Emergency Car Starter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Turn the ignition key to the Accessory position. Push the ON/OFF switch on the Emergency Car Starter to turn it on. The LED to the left of the switch (marked "VL") will illuminate AMBER/GREEN.

3. The dome light should begin to brighten, showing that the Emergency Car Starter is charging your car battery. If the dome light was not lit before, it should begin to light up. At this point, turn the dome light off.

4. Keep the Emergency Car Starter plugged in for about 10-15 minutes. After this time you can try to start your car. If it does not start, DO NOT TRY AGAINyet. Wait another 10-15 minutes before you try again. Your car should start right up after this amount of time.

TO RECHARGE THE CAR STARTER

1. Once your car has started, simply keep the Emergency Car Starter plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. Push the ON/OFF switch to turn the Emergency Car Starter OFF. The LED to the left (marked "VL") will illuminate and the LED to the right of the ON/OFF switch (marked "CH") will illuminate GREEN and begin flashing. Up to several hours of driving time is required to fully recharge the Emergency Car Starter. Once the unit has reached full charge, the LED marked "CH" will stop flashing.

2. The Emergency Car Starter will hold the charge for several months. However, you should check the status of the charge periodically. To do this simply press the ON/OFF button. The LED marked " VL" should illuminate GREEN. If it does not, recharge the unit as explained above. To avoid wasting the charge, immediately press the ON/OFF button again to turn the Emergency Car Starter OFF.

TO RUN 12 VOLT APPLIANCES AND ACCESSORIES FROM THE EMERGENCY CAR STARTER

1. The Emergency Car Starter can be used to run 12 volt appliances, such as a mini TV, camcorder, portable refrigerator, cellular phone, laptop computer, etc.

2. You do not need to plug the Emergency Car Starter into your cigarette lighter socket for this purpose. Simply plug the 12 volt item into the power port on the Emergency Car Starter. This provides a portable power source that you can take with you anywhere.

3. If the LED to the left of the ON/OFF switch (marked "VL") changes from GREEN/AMBER to RED, discontinue use IMMEDIATELY. It is time to recharge the Emergency Car Starter as explained above.
